The Archies: Banda de Comics famosa por Sugar, Sugar

Los Archies fue una banda de Bubblegum Pop asociada a la tira cómica y serie animada de televisión "El Show de Archie y sus amigos", aunque en realidad la banda no existía físicamente, sus músicos reales permanecieron detrás sin presentaciones en vivo. Sus personajes en la caricatura eran Archie Gómez, Carlos Marín y Torombolo que interpretaban temas de Rock And Roll. Sin embargo, la canción Sugar, Sugar (Azúcar Azúcar), escrita por Jeff Barry y Andy Kim, llegó a posicionarse en 1969 en el primer puesto de las listas de popularidad de Billboard.
